GreenField Ethanol, Canada's leading ethanol producer, is thrilled to announce today it has won, for the second time, the prestigious "50 Best Managed Companies" by Deloitte.
Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies is the country’s leading business awards program, recognizing excellence in Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues of more than $10 million. Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, the National Post and Queen's School of Business sponsor the program.
"We are honored and proud to receive this distinguished award," said Bob Gallant, President and CEO of GreenField Ethanol. "At GreenField we will continue to focus on our leadership, experience and vision to make this company the leading ethanol producer in Canada.”
This marks the second time GreenField Ethanol has won the 50 Best Managed Company award. As Commercial Alcohols, the company also won the award in 2004.
"Out of the thousands of applications and a grueling vetting process, GreenField Ethanol emerged as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies. This company has achieved the highest level of Canadian business excellence," said James McSherry, Executive Vice President and managing Director of CIBC Commercial Banking, a national sponsor of the Best Managed program.
Established in 1993, Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies (Best Managed) is one of the country’s leading business awards program, recognizing excellence in Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices. The awards are granted on three levels: 1) Best Managed winner (one of the 50 new winners selected each year); 2) Requalified member (repeat winners retain the Best Managed designation for two additional years, subject to annual operational and financial review); 3) Platinum Club member (winners that maintain Best Managed status for a minimum of six consecutive years.)
